 Working out in this Heat? Are you crazy.....

Well I know that you may have notice, but it has been extremely hot this Summer season.
Like most folks, this is the time of year that we like to get out there in the fresh air, and warm skies and engage in some type of physical activity.
Due the very above normal temperatures outside, we may have played it safe and hung out at the beach, or pool, or staid indoors, enjoying the controlled environment of our modern world. With the outside temps starting your morning off before sunrise in the low 80's, and climbing. Getting no relief though out the day, even after sunset, when the temperature only  decreased to the low 80's giving the term "hot summer nights" and whole new meaning.
So if you are just like me, thinking too hard would caused you to breakout in a sweat, doing it on purpose by physical exertion was indeed out of the question.
So as a result our Summer workouts were delayed, if not flat out derailed due to the extreme heat. http://www.weather.gov/rah/heat
This excessive heat also gave way to the many excuses that we have already for not working out, my favorite is "It's too dam hot to be working out, I would die", etc, etc.
Well it may look like we may be getting our lucky break this week, cause the temperatures might be back to normal. With Cooler morning, and evening you might be able to get that walk or jog in. I would advise taking advantage of this while it last, cause this weather is so very unpredictable.
Always drink plenty of just plain H2O, to keep yourself hydrated.

Who says that you have to follow the rules, if you want to go outside, or to the gym, why not "START NOW".
The Kids are back to school in most areas, use that down time while the kids are occupied, and do something healthy for yourself.

Tis' the Season to Get Fit & Healthy

You may not want to think about it but, the Holiday's are right around the corner. If any of you are like my friends, you have already started shopping for those special ones in your life.
 This summer we may have indulged ourselves in just too much Barbecue & potato salad and have gained a few pounds. Hey I can relate to this fact, cause it has happened to me, but I'm thinking way ahead in getting myself back on track. The best way I know is by taking advantage of the opportunity that is before me, and workout now.  I mean that I am not going to let procrastination delay me any further, and just get to it. If I wait for the perfect time, I'll be waiting forever. Turning down invitation to parties that I want to attend, or not being able to fit in that pretty dress , just like last year. I don't think so, this is the Season to Be Fit & Healthy.
